Welcome to Community Groups

Why Community Groups?

The purpose of Community Groups is to connect people. First, we desire to connect people to their creator, God. Second, we desire to connect people to the body of Christ.

What is a Community Group?

At Cedarcrest Church, the body of Christ functions as a body through the community group. We like to say it like this: Community Groups are people fumbling through life together. None of us has it ALL together. The Community Group makes it possible for folks to lean on one another. It takes a large mass of people and breaks it down to a bit sized portion.

We desire for people to live life along side one another as they experience what it means to be more like Christ. This happens within the Community Group. The groups average from 12-16 people and cover various topics.

When are Community Groups?

New groups are starting in January 2011. Groups meet almost every day of the week. Some men’s and women’s studies meet in the morning but most groups are at night. Our groups meet weekly from 1-2 hours depending on the curriculum.
